Description
1962
A hard disk drive does not contain a valid
boot sector.
2462
Video configuration error.
Note: This error code appears through the
console redirection remote video interface
only. The server VGA function has failed.
3001
SMART failure predicted on hard disk drive.
3003
SMART command execution failure on hard
disk drive.
3005
Current hard disk configuration does not
support SMART function.
5962
Internal CD/DVD drive configuration
changed.
An expected CD or DVD drive was not
detected.

Action
1. Make sure that a startable operating system is
installed.
2. Run the hard disk drive diagnostic tests.
3. Reseat the following components:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Hard disk drive backplane cable or back plate
cables
4. Replace the following components one at a time,
in the order shown, restarting the server each
time:
a. (Hot-swap models) Hard disk drive cable
b. Hard disk drive
c. Hard disk drive backplane or back plate
d. (Trained service technician only) System
board
1. Make sure that a working monitor is connected
correctly to the server.
2. Run the Configuration/Setup Utility program and
load the default settings (see "Using the
Configuration/Setup Utility program" on page 16).
3. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board assembly.
