1603 Service processor is not functioning
The Remote Supervisor Adapter II SlimLine
is not responding.
1762 Hard disk drive configuration changed
An expected SATA hard disk drive was not
detected.
178x Fixed disk error.
Note: x is the drive that has the error
Action
1. Make sure that the Remote Supervisor Adapter II
SlimLine is installed correctly.
2. Update the Remote Supervisor Adapter II
SlimLine firmware.
1. Run the hard disk drive diagnostic tests on the
drive.
2. Reseat the following components:
v Hard disk drive
v Cables to the hard disk drive backplane or
back plate
3. Run the Configuration/Setup Utility program,
select Load Default Settings, and then save the
settings.
4. Replace the following components one at a time,
in the order shown, restarting the server each
time:
a. Hard disk drive
b. Hard disk drive backplate or back plane
c. (Trained service technician only) System
board
1. Run the hard disk drive diagnostic tests on drive
x (see "Diagnostic programs and messages" on
page 128).
2. Reseat the following components, depending on
the server model:
v Hot-swap models: Hard disk drive
v Simple-swap models:
a. Hard disk drive x
b. Hard disk drive x cable
3. Replace the following components one at a time,
depending on the server model, in the order
shown, restarting the server each time:
v Hot-swap models:
a. Hard disk drive x
b. Hard disk drive backplane
c. (Trained service technician only) System

v Simple-swap models:
