3. Pull the spring handle to the left out from the spring
holder to loosen the tension on the tension wheel for
the drive belt.
4. Remove the belt from the pulley on the tool frame.
5. Remove the cutting deck covers. Refer to
the cutting deck covers (R137) on page 28 .
6. Disconnect the tension spring for the belt and
remove the belt.
7. Attach a new belt in the opposite sequence.

To remove and install the mulch plug
(C112, C122)
1. Put the cutting deck in servicing position.
2. Remove the 3 screws that hold the mulch plug and
remove the plug.
To remove
3. Install 3 screws in the screw holes for the mulch plug
to prevent damage to the threads.
4. Put the cutting deck in mow position.
5. Install the mulch plug in the opposite sequence.

2. Remove the 3 nuts and screws that hold the mulch
plug and remove the plug.
