Upper and Lower Forward Access Cover Replacement

Upper and Lower Forward Access Covers Replacement
This procedure replaces the Forward Upper and Lower Access covers.
The Forward Upper and Lower Access covers are bolted together and are removed and
installed as one Forward Access cover assembly. Removal and installation do not require
tools. The covers are fastened using Tabs that are snapped into receiving clips. You use the
palm of your hand to strike the cover at identified tab release symbol
unfasten, or unsnap, the tabs.
Removal
Review entire procedure before beginning.
1. Remove the Top cover, see
2. Remove the Forward Access cover assembly:
a. First release the two left and right side Upper Forward Access cover tabs. Use
one hand to hold and gently pull forward the top of the Forward Access cover
assembly while using the other hand to strike the cover at the tab release sym-
bols
b. Then release the two Lower Forward Access cover left and right side tabs using
the same process.
c. After all four tabs are released, lift the cover assembly upward and forward to
remove.
