External communication
The charging station can be equipped with a router.
The router can be installed for the wireless connection to the Siemens Configuration Backend
and the OCPP backend.
The following figure shows the position of the router in the charging station.

The required SIM card is provided by the operator. We recommend an M2M SIM card.
For installation in the routers, a mini SIM card or a corresponding adapter for this card format
is needed.
Inserting the SIM card
The slot for the SIM card is located between the LAN ports and the power supply. The SIM card
can be inserted or removed without removing the router.
