Action
Place CD_IBM306_MCS5100_Rel4.0_Linux_patch in the DVD-ROM
drive.
Log on to the server as root.
Run the patch script:
patchPlatform.pl
Select:
1 ==> Use an image burned to a CD.
Select:
5 ==> Print current patch chain (all applicable
patches).
The script lists all applicable patches, for example:
9.1.4.p-1 -> 9.1.5.p-1 -> 9.1.5.p-2
Select:
1 ==> Install current patch chain (all applicable
patches).
Enter yes to confirm.
Select:
5 ==> Print current patch chain (all applicable
patches).
The script responds:
No applicable patch(es).
Select:
8 ==> Quit
Acknowledge the information message. Type: yes.
Extract the CD from the DVD-ROM drive.
Reboot the server.
