Installing a power supply in a 2380 switch

A 2380 switch is shipped with a single 100-240 ~AC autosensing AC power supply. One power supply
provides enough power for a fully configured system. You can add a second power supply for load sharing and
redundancy. A WSS containing one power supply can have the supply installed in either slot. If the switch
contains two power supplies and one supply fails, the other supply automatically takes over to provide uninter-
rupted operation.
The power supplies are hot-swappable. You can remove or insert a power supply while the other power supply
is running.
Use the following procedures to install a second power supply or replace a failed power supply.
(You cannot insert or remove power supplies in a 2360 and 2382 switch.)
Note.
To attach the power supply to a 2350, see
