Device Noise

The only noise generated by the GR2000-B comes from it's internal cooling fans. Plan
an installation taking the noise of the router into consideration. Below are some
ideas for installation with noise as a consideration:
Block out noise by installing a partition or a shelf between the router and people.
Avoid putting a router in an area people use frequently, such as offices, meeting
rooms, at desks, etc.
Put a router in the corner of an office or install it in a rack.
Don't install the router near hard objects that reflect sound easily, such as
windows.

If you locate other devices with fans near the GR2000-B, the air flow from
those units may interfere with others. In an extreme case, this could cause
the router to overheat and fail. Therefore, remember to keep adequate space
between interfering units. You may also install a partition between devices to
prevent the air flow of one device from blocking the other. If you install a
partition, locate it more than 70mm away from the device.
The space between a router and other objects must be at least 70mm.
Do not block the router's ventilation slots. Otherwise, the inside of the router
can overheat and fail or could possibly cause a fire. Ensure that there is at
least 70 mm of space from the sides of the unit.
