1. Before removing the 2145 UPS from the shipping carton, you must reduce its
weight by removing the battery assembly. Perform the following steps to
remove the 2145 UPS battery assembly:
a. Open the top of the 2145 UPS shipping carton. With the assistance of
another service representative, grip the flaps on either side of the 2145
UPS; see Figure 36.
b. Slide the 2145 UPS to the end of the carton and rest its front edge on the
edge of the carton; see Figure 37.
