v The SAN Volume Controller is not operational. A hardware fault is preventing
the SAN Volume Controller from being part of a cluster.
Create cluster?
Clusters can be created from the Create Cluster menu.
The Create cluster? field allows you to create a new SAN Volume Controller
cluster. Press the select button to go to the create cluster menu. Figure 63 shows the
create cluster menu sequence.

Press the left and right buttons to navigate through the secondary options that are
associated with the Create cluster? option. When you have navigated to the desired
option, press the select button. The secondary options available include:
v IP address
v Subnet mask
v Gateway
v Create now?
IP address
The IP address lets you display or change the Ethernet IP address for the cluster
that you are going to create. Be sure to verify the correct IP address with the
customer before you create a cluster.
Attention: If you change the IP address, ensure that you type the correct address.
Otherwise, you cannot access the cluster using the command line tools or a Web
browser.
Perform the following steps to change the IP address:
1. From the Create Cluster? option, press the select button. The IP address option
is displayed.
2. Press the select button again. The first IP address number is highlighted.
3. Press the up button if you want to increase the value that is displayed; press
the down button if you want to decrease that value. If you want to quickly
increase or decrease the value, hold the up or down button, respectively.
