Never clamp the crankshaft with a crankshaft journal in the bench vise and try to hammer on the timing chain sprocket.
In such a case, the crank webs will be distorted rendering the crankshaft unserviceable.

Warm up the timing chain sprocket

Pull off the timing chain sprocket with the special tool.
