Adjusting the basic �osition of the hand brake lever
Checkin the brake fluid level of the front brake

If the brake fluid level drops below the specified marking or the specified value, this is an indication that the brake sys­
tem is leaking or that the brake linings are completely worn down. Check the brake system and do not continue riding.

Change the brake fluid of the front and rear brake according to the service schedule.

Push the hand brake lever forward and check free travel

Free travel of hand brake lever
If the free travel does not meet specifications:

Adjust the basic position of the hand brake lever. (r p. 111)
Preparatory work

Check the free travel of the hand brake lever. (r p. 110)
Main work
-
Adjust the basic setting of the hand brake lever to your hand size by turning
adjusting screw

Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the distance between the
hand brake lever and the handlebar.
Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to decrease the distance
between the hand brake lever and the handlebar.
The range of adjustment is limited.
Turn the adjusting screw by hand only, and do not apply any force.
Do not make any adjustments while riding!
Brake system failure.
Reduced braking efficiency due to old brake fluid.
Preparatory work

Check the front brake linings. (r p. 109)
Main work

Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a horizontal position.

Check the brake fluid level in level viewer
If the brake fluid level has dropped below marking
-
Add front brake fluid. (r p. 112)
