Speaker Control AT
Command (ATM) is
set to 0.
Hang-up Delay S
Register (S10) is set
too low.
Possible Cause
System beeps are
turned down.
Solution
To set the Speaker
Control to 1:
1. Click StartÆ
ProgramsÆ
AccessoriesÆ
HyperTerminal.
2. Go to Command
Mode, type ATM1,
then press Enter.
3. Type ATH1 and listen
for the sound of the
dial tone.
To change S10 default to
150:
1. Click StartÆ
ProgramsÆ
AccessoriesÆ
HyperTerminal.
2. Go to Command
Mode, type
ATS10=150, then
press Enter.
NOTE: This command
causes the modem to take
longer to disconnect
even if there is no noise
on the line.
Solution
Press Fn+F5, then press
the right cursor key to
increase the system
beeps volume.
