Removing a PC Card

The procedure for removing a PC Card varies with the operating
system you are using and with the kind of PC Card you want
to remove.
If you are running Windows 95:
You can remove a PC Card while the computer is off or on.
The PC Card icon appears in the system tray on the Windows
taskbar only while a PC Card is inserted.
If you are running Windows NT:
You can remove some PC Cards, such as modem, ATA, flash,
and SRAM cards, while the computer is on. However, you
must shut down the computer before removing other
PC Cards, such as LAN and SCSI cards. For removal
information about a particular PC Card, refer to the
documentation that came with the card and to the Help
program within CardWare.
CardWare displays the PC Card icon in the system tray on the
Windows taskbar whether or not a PC Card is inserted.
