Ground Wire Connection

WARNING
Exercise extreme care when attaching the ground connectors to the utility
(earth) ground rod. If the ground is interrupted or disturbed in any way, an
unsafe condition will exist. Refer to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and
state/local codes for details on grounding requirements.
NOTE
In the next two procedures, the Electronics Module has not been attached to
the NID Housing. For instructions on installing the electronics Module, refer
to
"Install Electronics Module"
1. Remove 1 inch of the insulation jacket from a 6 AWG minimum solid copper ground
2. Insert the ground wire through the rubber grommet.
3. Loosen the set screws on the ground bar.
4. Insert the copper portion of the ground wire in the ground bar and retighten set screws.
5. Ensure the ground wire is routed as shown in
6. Route the 6 AWG ground wire 12 inches below finished grade by the shortest and most
