NID Housing
The NID Housing base (refer to
Telco incoming cabling and cabling to the customer premises. Each cable entry has grommets
to provide environmental protection. The cable entries also support strain relief with Tie-
wraps.
NOTE
In the illustration above, note how the power wiring to the Insulation
Displacement Connector (IDC) has a different configuration. The wiring
configuration on the left is an example of a "completed" installation. The
illustration on the right is considered "pre-installation". A pre-installation is
typically performed in advance of the Electronics Module being installed. The
only difference is that the Power wiring is moved from the NID Housing to
the base of the Electronics Module.
