The following describes the procedure used when the tape library is connected directly to
the server and the procedure used when the tape library is connected to the server via the
switch.
4.1.1
Direct connection to the server
The device definition for each LOOP ID must be set when the tape library is connected
directly to the server.
The LOOP ID assigns the target ID of each device.
