Entering text

Follow the procedure described below to enter text when specifying the user name or
programming one-touch dial keys with the recipient name.

Changing the input mode

Each press of the [123/ABC] key switches between number input mode and letter in-
put mode.
[1...]: Numbers can be entered.
[A...]: Letters and symbols can be entered.

Key operation

Using the keypad, type in numbers, letters and symbols.
Switch between numbers and letter/symbols by pressing the [123/ABC] key.
When [1...] appears in the display, numbers will be entered.
When [A...] appears in the display, letters/symbols will be entered.
"→" is treated as a tilde (
The following characters can be entered by each key in the keypad.
Characters that can be entered with keypad keys
Note
Repeatedly press the keypad key to scroll through the corresponding characters
and symbols listed until the desired character appears in the display.
