3.0 Changing parts

R em ove pow er from the lam inator before
servicing. Y ou can be severely shocked,
electrocuted or cause a fire.
D o not w ear ties, loose fit clothing or
dangling jew elry w hile operating or
servicing the lam inator. T hese item s can get
caught in the nip and choke you or you can
be crushed or burned.
A lw ays practice lock out/ tag out procedures
w hen perform ing service related w ork.
C hanging parts should only be
perform ed by qualified person(s).

The procedures in this section are written in a
simplified and direct format. In this section you will find
procedures for removing and replacing the cabinets,
changing the heaters, the upper rollers and the lower rollers.
Any part changing procedure not covered in this
manual can be provided within a reasonable time. Please
contact the GBC Technical Service Center at 1-888-
231-2211 for assistance.

3.1 Cabinets

Before any part changing procedure can be
performed, the cabinets and/or covers must be removed.
After any part changing procedure is completed, the
cabinets and/ or covers must be replaced.
The following procedures will be applied to each
part changing procedure as required.
O nly rem ove the cabinet and/or cover
required to perform the task. E xposed
com ponents are susceptible to dam age
during a procedure.
