(3) RDC Password
To access the copier through RDC, the security password (Max. 20 digits) is required for protecting the
setting data of the copier. Only when the password coincides with the password that was registered with
the RDC Center, during an access from the RDC Center to the copier according to the RDC protocol,
operations through RDC are enabled.
When the passwords do not coincide, the communication is cut off. This password is also called TSI
Security Password.

Note: When an access through RDC is attempted without setting the password on the copier, the com-
munication will be cut off. The keys used for setting the password are numeric keys from 0 to 9 and
the SPACE key.
