1.3.1 RDC (Remote Diagnosis Configuration) Service
(1) Remote Access
The remote access function allows checking of the copier conditions, and enabling the function for chang-
ing setting data of the copier and the firmware that controls the copier, on a remote basis, via communica-
tion.
To enable the remote access function, be sure to follow the setting procedure described below.

Note: When OFF is selected for Remote Access, accesses through RDC cannot be made. Requests for
uploading and downloading the phonebook, retrieving the list, downloading programs, and auto-
matic accesses, over the line, are rejected. However, this setting does not have influence on
accesses through LDC or the network.
