For fan trays, a control or monitor circuit board in the fan tray reports temperature and the
status of fan operation to the network management software. A green light emitting diode (LED)
indicates correct fan operation. For information about installing fan trays, see Avaya Ethernet

Space requirements
The following section lists the space requirements for the 8010, 8010co, 8006, and 8003-R
chassis.
The installation site must provide sufficient free space around the chassis to ensure proper
ventilation and service access.
Use the following guidelines to plan front and rear access:
• The maintenance aisle in front of the frame requires a clearance of 76.2 cm (30
inches).
• The wiring aisle at the back of the frame requires a clearance of 61 cm (24 inches).
