Removing the SILC and UILC
1 Hold the card by its card-locking devices. Squeeze the tabs to unlatch the
card-locking devices and lift them away from the card.
2 Carefully disengage the SILC or UILC from the backplane connector, and
slowly slide the card from the cabinet or MG 1000S.

Installing the PRI hardware
Note: This procedure is only required for packet data implementation.
To install the 1.5 Mb NTRB21 TMDI card or the NTAK09 1.5 Mb PRI circuit
card, refer to ISDN Primary Rate Interface: Maintenance (553-3001-517).
To install the NTAK79 2.0 Mb PRI circuit card or the NTBK50 2.0 Mb PRI
circuit card, refer to ISDN Primary Rate Interface: Installation and
Configuration (553-3001-201).
Connecting the ISDN BRI terminals (for line applications)
For line applications, five procedures are required to connect ISDN BRI
terminals to the system:
1 Connect system cables to the cross-connect terminal. See Procedure 19
on page 68.
2 Cross-connect the DSLs at the cross-connect terminal. See Procedure 20
on page 72.
3 Connect the terminating resistor to the SILC DSL. See Procedure 21 on
page 76.
4 Connect the ISDN BRI terminals to the DSL. See Procedure 22 on
page 78.
5 Initialize the terminals. See Procedure 23 on
Figure 16 on page 67
