• No power on the TX and RX leads. This option applies when the
terminal is powered locally with an adapter provided with the
terminal. It also applies when a SILC DSL is used for trunking.
Remove the jumper plugs and store them on J1 to implement this
option.
5 Insert the SILC or UILC into the selected card slot and lock it in place.
6 Observe the behaviors of the LED on the faceplate of the MISP to
determine its status:
• The LED lights, flashes three times, and then remains lit – indicates
the card is operating correctly, but is not configured.
• The LED lights, flashes three times, and then turns off – indicates the
card is operating correctly and is configured.
• Any other LED behavior suggests a defective circuit card.
7 Repeat the steps in this procedure for each SILC or UILC being installed.
