Preparing a confidential file

If communicating with another FELCOM, you can prepare a confidential
message by entering "S???-addressee code(-password):" in the first line of the
message text. You can also receive confidential messages containing this
header from a land subscriber or any MES which uses the FELCOM.
There are two types of confidential messages: message with addressee code
and message with both addressee code and password.
When a FELCOM receives a confidential message, the message is not
displayed and printed immediately. To display or print the contents of a
confidential message, the recipient executes the procedure shown in paragraph
4.2.3.
Addressee code and password
Caller and recipient agree beforehand on both the addressee code and the
password. The addressee code might be the title of the recipient; for example,
CAPTAIN. The password could be the classification of the message; for example,
SECRET.
Preparing message with addressee code
Type S, 3 question marks, hyphen, addressee code, colon, and then the text of
message.
Preparing message with both addressee code and password
Type S, 3 question marks, hyphen, addressee code, hyphen, password, colon,
and then text of message.
When the recipient receives a message with both addressee code and
password, he must enter the password to view contents of the message.
