Entering Own Ship's Position

When there is no position data, set Nav Port in the System Setup menu to
"OFF," as explained in paragraph 2.1.2, and then enter ship's position manually
as follows:
1. Press the function key [F9] to display the Position menu.
2. Press the [Enter] key to open the window for latitude entry.
3. Enter latitude and [N] or [S].
4. Press the [Enter] key to close the window.
5. Press the [↓] key to choose LON.
6. Press the [Enter] key to open the window for longitude entry.
7. Enter longitude and [E] or [W].
8. Press the [Enter] key to close the window.
9. Press the [Esc] key to open the update window.
10. Yes is selected; press the [Enter] key to update position and close the Ship
Position menu. This position data is also entered on the "Update Distress
Alert" screen. (Refer to page 6-1.)
