Silencing the Audio Alarm
Some error messages and alerts are accompanied by the audio alarm. This
alarm can be silenced, in most instances, by pressing any key. If the alarm
cannot be silenced in that manner, go to the Setup menu (see the paragraph
below) to silence it. Note that the distress alert alarm transmitted by own ship
cannot be silenced by either method; it automatically stops when you receive the
distress acknowledge signal from LES.
1. Press the function key [F8] to display the Setup menu.
2. Press the [6] key to display the Auto Mode Setup menu.
3. Press the [↓] key to choose Receive Alarm.
4. Press the [Enter] key to open the options window.
