- Adjust the basic setting of the clutch lever to your hand size by turning adjusting
screw

Turn the adjusting screw clockwise to increase the distance between the
clutch lever and the handlebar.
Turn the adjusting screw counterclockwise to decrease the distance between
the clutch lever and the handlebar.
The range of adjustment is limited.
Turn the adjusting screw by hand only, and do not apply any force.
Do not make any adjustments while riding!
Preliminary work
- Remove the seat.

- Remove the fuel tank.

Main work
- Check the throttle cable routing.
Both throttle cables must be routed to the carburetor side by side behind the
handlebars and above the tank bearing.
• If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
- Correct the throttle cable routing.
Subsequent work
- Install the fuel tank.

- Mount the seat. (r p. 79)
- Check the throttle grip for smooth operation.
- Move the handlebar to the straight-ahead position. Move the throttle grip back-
wards and forwards to ascertain the play in the throttle cable.

Exhaust gases are poisonous and inhaling them may
result in unconsciousness

- When running the engine, always make sure there is sufficient ventila-
tion, and do not start or run the engine in an enclosed space without an
effective exhaust extraction system.
- Start the engine and let it run idle. Move the handlebar to and fro over the entire
steeri ng range.
