Choke
is fitted on the left side of the carburetor.
Activating the choke function frees an opening through which the engine can draw
extra fuel. This gives a richer fuel-air mixture, which is needed for a cold start.

If the engine is warm, the choke function must be deactivated.
Possible states
Choke function activated - The choke lever is pulled out to the stop.
Choke function deactivated - The choke lever is pushed in to the stop.
Preliminary work

Remove the seat.

Remove the fuel tank.

Remove the air filter box lid.

Remove the carburetor connection boot.

Main work

Remove screw
. Remove the carburetor cover.

Push back sleeve
-
Loosen nuts
,detach the throttle cables and hang them to one side.

Loosen hose clip
-
Release cable binder
-
Unplug connector
of the throttle position sensor.
-
Slip out the carburetor vent hoses. Pull the carburetor out of the rubber sleeve.

Unscrew the hot start activation
-
Loosen hose clip
. Remove the rubber sleeve.
