Commissioning / Operation / Maintenance
Two outputs are available for each counter value. The frequency in Hz is displayed
at the first output. The rotational speed in revolutions per minute is displayed at the
second output.
The counter values are represented in REAL format.
If "Sense of rotation recognition on" is configured in HW Config of the SIMATIC
Manager for the first counter value, the same value is displayed at the Counter Va-
lue 1 and Counter Value 2. If the leading pulse signal is interconnected to the bi-
nary counting input DI_1 of the AddFEM and the lagging signal to the counting in-
put DI_2, this means a positive speed "Clockwise". A negative speed means
"Counterclockwise".
Mode of Operation
The block reads the geographic addresses (bus number and slave number) ent-
ered at the inputs and converts these into the logical I/O addresses and the dia-
gnostic address. The calculated addresses are made available via the output struc-
ture BLOCKCON for the remaining function blocks (FEM_AO, FEM_DI, FEM_DO).
If the addresses are not configured or if there is a fault, this is signaled to the error
outputs and saved additionally in the BLOCKCON structure.
Error Handling
The following cases are handled by the block algorithm:
