This document describes system start-up as well as the process of installing
application and voice file software on the McIAS 16xx/68 Series platform.
Part 1 discusses system start-up including the confidence tests run on the Single
Board Computer (SBC).
Part 2 describes the Disk Utility Program which is used to install application and
announcement/message software from a cartridge to the hard disk. The Disk Utility
Program is installed at the factory.
With the Disk Utility Program installed on the hard disk, applications and voice files
can be installed. Part 3 provides detailed instructions on the process of accessing the
disk utility and installing an application from a cartridge to the hard disk. Part 4
describes the process of accessing the disk utility to install voice files from a cartridge
to the hard disk.
