1) 999 and 112 calls must not be barred. Doing so will invalidate BABT approval.
2) Simple Call Routing Mode (SCRM) lines must be identified separately from the
non-SCRM lines (loop start disconnect clearing & guarded clearing) at the MDF.
3) PSTN lines must be segregated from non-PSTN lines and their connection strips
shall be suitably labelled.
4) All connections at the MDF shall be identifiable by suitable labelling.
5) The CE mark displayed on INDeX equipment indicates the systems compliance
with the European EMC LV, and R&TTE directive and common technical
regulations for Primary Rate and Basic Rate ISDN.
6) All ports for the connection of other non-telecommunications apparatus have a
Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) safety status.
1) 000 emergency calls must not be barred. Doing so will invalidate the approval to
TS031 and TS038.
2) When connecting to a TS013 ISDN Basic Rate Interface, only Point to Multi-
Point to operation shall be configured.
3) When connecting to a TS013 ISDN Basic Rate Interface only terminals that
comply with TS013 may be connected to the BRI 'S' ports as the bearer
capability is passed through the switch
4) As the INDeX does not support emergency dialling after loss of power, the
following warning notice should be recognised:
This equipment will be inoperable when mains power fails.
To comply with the safety regulations for Finland, the INDeX Cabinet must be
connected to a safety earth as follows:
Attach earth lead to cabinet with a suitable M6 bolt/screw in
threaded insert provided adjacent to mains input socket on the
left hand side of cabinet (facing to the front).
The earth lead and connections are not provided by Avaya.
To comply with the safety regulations for Singapore, the INDeX Cabinet must be
connected to a safety earth as follows:
Attach earth lead to cabinet with a suitable M6 bolt/screw in
threaded insert provided adjacent to mains input socket on the
left hand side of cabinet (facing to the front).
The earth lead and connections are not provided by Avaya.
