Below is an example CSV file for switch and server licence keys.
LICENCE OPTION, LICENCE KEY,
SOFTWARE, 2c7b-c898-607c-f42e, CPU 30 9.1
WOC, d49d-0e98-c553-182d,
VPN, 4e2e-38a0-aa37-6273, one
SERVER1, 1234-5678-90ab-cdef;
Note the use of an extra column with no header text but still with a comma in the first
line. This contains notes for the CSV file creator which the INDeX will ignore.
Great care should be taken with the licence key CSV upload as errors will
disable functions across the whole INDeX.
The various licence keys all have specific names which are as follows:
– Switch Licences :
SOFTWARE, WOC, VPN ACCESS, PERSONAL NUMBERING.
– Server Licences :
These are named SERVER1 to SERVER40.
Below is an example CSV file for uploading INDeX Net settings.
ITEM NUMBER, INDEX NET ADDRESS, NODE,
1, 10.10.1.5, 60, Engineering
2, 10.11.5.98, 70, Warehouse
3, 187.123.32.4, 80, Leeds
Note the use of an extra column with no header. This contains notes for the CSV file
creator when uploaded to the INDeX will be ignored.
The INDeX Net dial-up setting cannot be set through the CSV file.
1. Start your command line FTP program.
– In Windows 95, 98 and NT, select Start | Run and enter ftp.
2. Enter open n where n is the IP address of the INDeX.
3. When requested enter your username.
4. When requested enter your password.
5. Enter bin to ensure that FTP file transfers user binary mode.
6. Enter hash if you want a visual indication of the transfer of data packets.
7. Enter send fn dy where fn is the file path of the CSV file to send.
8. Enter close to end the FTP connection.
– With Windows FTP, enter quit to close the FTP window.
