Supplemental Restraint
System Indicator
This indicator comes on for several
seconds when you turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position. If it
comes on at any other time, it
indicates a potential problem with
your front airbags or automatic seat
belt tensioners. On models equipped
with side airbags or side curtain
airbags, this indicator will also alert
you to a potential problem with your
side airbags, passenger's side airbag
automatic cutoff system (if
equipped), or side curtain airbags.

Side Airbag Off Indicator
(For some types)
This indicator comes on for several
seconds when you turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position. If it
comes on at any other time, it
indicates that the passenger's side
airbag has automatically shut off.

Immobilizer System
Indicator
This indicator comes on briefly when
you turn the ignition switch to the
ON (II) position. It will go off if you
34 . have inserted a properly-coded
ignition key. If it is not a properly-
coded key, the indicator will blink
and the engine's fuel system will be
disabled (see page 103
Instrument Panel Indicators
IMA System Indicator
This indicator normally comes on for
a few seconds when you turn the
ignition switch to the ON (II)
position. If it comes on at any other
time, it indicates a problem in the
integrated motor assist (IMA)
35 . system. With the IMA indicator on,
the vehicle may not accelerate as it
normally does. Have the vehicle
checked by the dealer as soon as
possible.
