Installing a Child Restraint
System with a Tether
(For some types)

On vehicles with two anchor points
Children riding in vehicles should be
restrained to minimize the risk of
injury in the event of an accident.
A child restraint system with a tether
can be installed in any seating
position in the back seat (in the two
outer positions on some models),
using one of the anchor points
shown in the illustrations.

Driver and Passenger Safety
Since a tether can provide additional
security to the lap/shoulder belt
installation, we recommend using a
tether whenever one is required or
available. (The owners may check
with the child restraint system
maker to determine whether a tether
is available for a particular child
restraint system.)
