After selecting a proper child
restraint system and a good place to
install the restraint system, there are
three main steps in installing the
restraint system:
1.
Properly secure the child restraint
system to the vehicle.
restraint systems must be secured
to the vehicle with the lap part of a
lap/shoulder belt or with the lower
anchorages system (if equipped).
A child whose restraint system is
not properly secured to the vehicle
can be endangered in a crash.
If you use a lap/shoulder belt
without a lockable retractor, be sure
you install a locking clip on the seat
belt (see page

A child restraint system secured
with a seat belt should be installed as

If the child restraint system is not
secure, try installing it in a different
seating position, or use a different
style of child restraint system that
can be firmly secured.
For EU countries, refer to page

for the recommended child
restraint system.
