Using an Anchor Fitting

TETHER STRAP
Except on Australian model
1. After properly securing the child
restraint system (see page
the belt with the lockable retractor
or see page 58 for the belt without
the lockable retractor), lift the
head restraint, then route the
tether strap over the seat-back and
through the head restraint legs.

2. Lift the cover, then attach the
attaching clip to the anchor fitting,
55 for making sure the strap is not
twisted.
3. Tighten the strap according to the
child restraint system maker's
instructions.

1. After properly securing the child
restraint system (see page
remove the head restraint, then
route the tether strap over the
seat-back.
Make sure the removed head
restraints are securely stored. You
can also reinstall them on the rear
seat-back after securing the child
restraint system.
