PC–Interface: The PC–Interface (RS 232, 9-pole SUB–D connector see figure 22) is
used for the parameter assignment of the CC–S
FOS0–Configurator, which can be downloaded from
download_neu/ind_acc_e.htm. Alternative a simple Terminal Program, e.g. Hyper Termi-
nal, can also be used. The connection cable between the PC and CC–S

q
FO1/2: The fibre–optic interfaces serve to connect a protection device. Serial asynchro-
nous signals are transferred to these interfaces. The optical properties, including the
connection method, correspond to those of the FO module of the SIPROTEC device (ST–
connector, 820 nm).
q
GOK/DR: An isolated change over contact, three connections of which are routed out on
the device contact, represents the life contact. The symbol on the connection represents
the contact's idle state. Under the following conditions the DR–Contact gets active:
n
Power–Fail signal is inactive (internal power supply unit is in proper condition).
n
RESET signal is inactive (internal logic is in proper condition).
n
The S
–Bus is connected and in service.

q
Power supply: The auxiliary voltage must be applied at the 2-pole screw terminal (24 –
250 VDC, 115 – 250 VAC). The permissible values and tolerances can be found in the
Technical Data (Page 66). The grounding connection on the right must be connected to
the protective conductor (ground).
