Remove connecting rod cap nuts and the con-
necting rod caps.

To prevent damage to the crank pin and the cylin-
der walls, install a piece of hose over the threads
of the connecting rod bolts.

Remove the crankshaft.
Remove the oil seal form the crankshaft.

PISTON, CYLINDER, AND CRANKSHAFT
IMPORTANT:
rings, remove any carbon deposits from the top of
the cylinder bore wall before removing the piston.
Use quick drying paint to mark the corresponding
cylinder number on each piston.
Push out each piston and connecting rod through
the top of the cylinder bore.
Reassemble each connecting rod cap and nut
onto its original connecting rod.
