Subscriber Database Synchronization
Automatic Synchronization of the Subscriber Database
Backup receiver subscriber database is updated automatically under the following
circumstances.
When a subscriber is registered with the primary receiver, registration information is
•
forwarded to the backup receiver and the backup receiver subscriber database is
updated.
When a subscriber is re-registered with the primary receiver, re-registration
•
information is forwarded to the backup receiver and the backup receiver database is
updated.
When a subscriber is deleted from the primary receiver, this information is forwarded to
•
the backup receiver to keep the backup receiver subscriber database up to date.
During all times, the primary receiver periodically requests the current state of the
•
backup receiver subscriber database. If the backup receiver subscriber database
requires an update then the primary receiver updates the backup receiver subscriber
database.
Manual synchronization of Subscriber Database
User interface on the primary receiver allows manual subscriber database synchronization.
Two types of database synchronizations can be done. The primary receiver database can be
updated from the backup receiver database or the backup receiver database can be updated
from the primary receiver.
