Invacare® Robin®
SYMPTOMS
Lifting straps are twisted and do not
straighten out.
Ceiling hoist does not traverse the rails.
Ceiling hoist emits excessive noise when
activated.
Ceiling hoist will not charge
No indicator light on hoist
The emergency strap does not turn hoist
off
The emergency strap does not lower the
hoist.
If problems are not remedied by the suggested means, contact an Invacare representative.

PROBLEM
Lifting hooks do not turn freely enough
Straps are frayed
Rails require service or cleaning
Driving wheels worn or damaged (Robin®
Moveronly)
Hand control is defective
Bearings, gearwheels or motor defective
System has no power
System does not have power or battery is
discharged.
Hoist requires service.

SOLUTION
Clean the hooks or replace the straps.
Replace the straps. Refer to3.5 Replacing
Strap and Hook Assemblies, page 13.
Inspect the rail system
Adjust driving wheels.
Replace the hand control.
Replace the hoist.
Place the hand control in the charging
station and recharge the ceiling hoist
Check that the power supply is switched
on and connected to the charging station.
Check that the ceiling hoist has power
supply and that the battery is recharged.
Check that the power supply is switched
on and connected to the charging station.
Place the hand control in the charging
station and recharge the ceiling hoist.
