• Character string memory table numbers 500 and higher always remain at the
initial value set with the Support Tool. These values cannot be changed later
and can only be read. These tables cannot be allocated to the host either.
• The characters that can be stored in character string memory tables are alpha-
numerics, symbols, and marks (codes FF20 to FFFF

This setting determines whether or not the allocated words at the host
are initialized when the power to the PT is turned ON, when the PT is
reset, and on transition from the System Menu to the RUN mode.
Initialization here means initialization of the allocated words at the host:
when a check mark is set, the previous character string memory table
contents are written to the host words. When no check mark is set, the
data at the host is read and set in the character string memory tables.
