You can also send SCPI commands directly to the system by using the
Agilent String Interface Library. Examples and reference information
are provided under "Agilent 81250 String Interface Library" on
page 22.
Different clients may operate on the same system concurrently using
different interfaces. To avoid undesired interrupts, the Agilent 81250
features a locking mechanism, allowing each client to gain exclusive
access to the system during critical operations.
The system can either be locked or blocked:
• With a locked system, commands from other clients are returned
with an error message.
• With a blocked system, commands from other clients do not return
until the system has been unlocked and the command has been
executed.
