Installing the device fan
Note
Install only a fan of the same type. Information about the original spare parts for SIMATIC
PCs is available in the Internet at After-sales information system for SIMATIC PC/PG
(http://www.siemens.com/asis).
Ensure that the arrow on the device fan points away from the fan bracket. The device fan
blows cooling air into the housing.
Install the device fan in reverse order.
The figure shows the proper device
fan mounting position.
Use the DiagBase software to check
proper operation of the fan.

Press on the clip at the
small fan connector and pull
the plug to the top from the
larger adapter plug.
Remove the adapter plug, if
necessary: To do so, press on

adapter plug and remove the
plug by pulling it up.
Loosen all the expanding rivets
and remove the device fan
from the fan bracket.
