Basic integration of a CFU in the automation environment
The following figure demonstrates the basic integration of a CFU in the automation
environment using the example of a CFU PA.
Distributed I/O devices - field of use
When structuring a system the inputs and outputs from or to the process are often integrated
centrally into the automation system.
In the case of large distances of the inputs and outputs from the automation system the wiring
can become very extensive and unstructured. Electromagnetic interferences can impair the
reliability. The flexibility of a central installation is also limited.
