Capturing images from an analog video
unit on a computer – Signal convert
function
You can capture images and sound from an analog video unit on the computer which
has a DV port by transmitting data via your camcorder.
The supplied A/V connecting cable is equipped with an S video plug and a video plug.
Change the setting for the jack depending on the VCR.
See page 48 for details about the S video jack.
Before operation

(1) Press FN to display PAGE1.
(2) Press MENU.
(3) Select VIDEOINPUT in
(4) To use the video jack, select VIDEO, or to use the S video jack, select S VIDEO,
then press EXEC. The default setting is VIDEO.
(5) Select A/V t DV OUT in
(6) Select ON, then press EXEC.
(7) Start playback on the analog video unit.
(8) Start capturing procedures on the computer.
The operation procedures depend on the computer and the software which
you use.
For details on how to capture images, refer to the operating instructions of the
computer and software.
