The basic rule is: the sportier the
7
riding mode you select, the more
directly can you tap into the en-
120
gine's reserves of power. At the
same time, the level of rider as-
sistance that the ABS and ASC/
DTC systems offer decreases ac-
cordingly.

commended by BMW Motorrad.

Consequently, you must always
z
bear the following in mind with
regard to your selection of a rid-

The sportier the setting, the
greater the challenge to your
riding skill!
It is the rider's responsibility to
select the correct riding mode.
For example, the DYNAMIC
PRO riding mode is totally un-

Mode changes
A changeover of the functions in
the engine management system,
the ABS and the ASC or, as ap-
plicable, the DTC systems while
DY-
riding is possible only in certain
and
operating states:
No drive torque at the rear
wheel
riding
No brake pressure in the brake
system.
One of the following precondi-
tions has to be satisfied in order
for this condition to be achieved:
The vehicle is at a standstill
with the ignition switched on.
With the vehicle on the move,
the throttle twistgrip must be
turned back and the brake
levers must be in the released
positions.
The desired riding mode is ini-
tially preselected. The mode
change does not take place until
the control systems in question
are all in the appropriate state.
The selection menu does not
disappear from the display until
the change of riding modes has
completed.
