FRONT WHEEL/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Remove the con er pin.
Remove the tie-rod ball joint nut while holding the
joint stud flats with an open end w rench.
Remove the t ie-rod from the knuckle.
Remove the cotter pins and loosen the ball joint cas-
tle nuts, but do not remove them yet.
Apply
grease to
the ball joint remover at the point
shown.
This
will
ease instattation of the tool and prevent
damage to the pressure bolt threads.
Insert the jaws carefully. making su re that you do
not damage the ball joint boot.
If necessary. apply
Adjust the jaw spacing by turning the pressure bolt.
