To print envelopes from the bypass tray, envelopes must have a body length greater than 135 mm
(5.3 in.) with the flap closed. Any envelope with a body length of 135 or fewer mm (5.3 or fewer in.)
requires the optional Envelope Tray Kit to feed envelopes from tray 2. For example, number 10
envelopes and DL (Dimensions Lengthwise) envelopes require the Envelope Tray Kit.
1. Open tray 5. For larger envelopes, pull out the extension tray. Remove any paper or envelopes
that are a different size or type.
2. Move the paper width guides to the edges of the tray.
