Clean using a cleaning stick.
Moisten the cleaning stick with the cleaning liquid.
Clean in the sequence shown in the figure below.
Be especially careful to clean away any fibrous dust (lint).
During this work, be careful
not to touch the head surfac-
es (nozzle surfaces) directly
with the cleaning stick.

The print-head carriage moves, and then the screen shown in the
COVER
figure appears.
Preparations are complete when this screen appears.
Be sure to perform
cleaning using one of the
included cleaning sticks.
Clean only the
metal frame.
Touch the location shown in the figure (un-
der the ink cartridge cover) to discharge any
static electricity.
Gently stroke the
sponge. Never
rub with force.
